The Role

An opportunity exists for an experienced Cyber GRC Specialist to support a Defence SPO environment delivering cyber governance, risk, and assurance activities across complex ICT capabilities.

The role will be responsible for providing governance and assurance of contracted cyber resources, supporting industry partners through clear and compliant security requirements, conducting evidence-based cyber risk assessments, and reviewing solutions developed by specialist SMEs. The successful candidate will operate within established Defence ICT, security, and engineering frameworks to support risk reduction and delivery outcomes for the SPO.

This role will also work closely with Commonwealth and MSP cyber security personnel, with mentoring and guidance capability considered highly desirable.

Preference is for the role to be Adelaide-based, with a current PV clearance highly desirable

About You

You are an experienced Cyber GRC professional with strong knowledge of Defence ICT security and governance environments.

You have demonstrated experience in:

  • Cyber governance, risk, and assurance activities
  • Conducting structured cyber risk assessments
  • Reviewing and assuring cyber security solutions and artefacts
  • Working within Defence ICT, security, and engineering frameworks
  • Supporting industry partners and stakeholders in achieving compliant security outcomes

Highly desirable:

  • Experience mentoring MSP and Commonwealth cyber security staff
  • Current PV security clearance
  • Defence or secure government ICT environment experience
