We’re looking for a Contract Management Specialist to provide specialist contract management advice to the commissioning and program management teams across EMPHN.
About the role
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the administration and delivery of EMPHN’s procurement function. Reporting to the Procurement and Contracts Manager, this role ensures that all procurement processes are conducted professionally, efficiently, and in strict compliance with EMPHN’s policies and procedures, particularly those related to Procurement, Risk Management, Commissioning, and the Value for Money framework.
About You
You bring a combination of strategic sourcing expertise, a willingness to lean-in and collaborate cross-functionally and deliver cost-effective procurement solutions.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in procurement, business, law, commerce or related discipline (desired) with a strong understanding of strategic sourcing principles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively influence, present complex ideas clearly and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- High-level interpersonal and relationship management capability, including emotional intelligence, negotiation, and collaboration to drive strategic outcomes.
- Experience in procurement across a multidisciplinary organisation, preferably in the health sector including managing complex tenders.
- Demonstrable experience and accountability in working with successful multi-stakeholder projects, including an ability to work towards deadlines to ensure outcomes are achieved.
- Proven organisational skills, including priority setting, pursing tasks to completion and achieving targets within set timeframes.
- Ability to leverage technology and procurement systems to optimise workflows and reporting for executive decision-making
Key Responsibilities
- Managing tendering activity, contributing to procurement planning cycles and collaborating as necessary to ensure the most accurate and up to date operational, legal and probity advice has been factored in for procurement and contract correspondence.
- Ensure all procurement work is aligned with delivery of planned outcomes and relevant policies, systems and educate the workforce on EMPHN Processes and practices to enhance operational delivery
- Encourage and facilitate business improvement and innovation through upholding information security processes while identifying opportunities for growth
- Display individual leadership through role modelling EMPHN’s values and behaviours.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships by partnering in a customer-focused way, providing guidance that supports business priorities and operational goals through innovative solutions
