About this role
We’re looking for a WHS Advisor who will be overseeing a number of projects in the Southwest WA region.
You’ll be providing support and guidance to our teams on land development projects. Experience in workplaces involving earthmoving and heavy plant is essential to be successful in this role.
Please note that this is a full-time (Mon-Fri) position based on site. You will need to be available for site operational hours from 7am to 5pm.
What your day will look like
- Supporting the WHS team to implement strategies aimed at safety culture and managing hazard risks.
- Coaching and advise business leaders to improve the use of WHS tools and processes in the field.
- Conducting infield verifications of the use and outputs of WHS tools and processes.
- Assisting with the incident information collection for any Incident (ICAM) Investigations.
- Analysing data and trends for weak signals and take corrective actions.
- Liaising with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
About you
- Ability to analysis and interpret data and information to improve WHS performance and standards
- Strong leadership skillset with ability to coach and mentor stakeholders
- Problem-solving capabilities and an analytical mindset
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience producing correspondence, written reports, and instructions to a professional standard
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite – Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI
Qualification and skillsets needed
- 2 years or more in a HSE role
- 1 years or more in Civil Construction industry
- Cert IV in HSE (Essential) or higher
- Cert IV in Training and Assessing (Preferred)
- A current and valid Western Australian drivers licence (Required)
- A current and valid Construction Card (White/Blue)
- Lead Investigator ICAM (Preferred)
- Lead Auditor certification in ISO45001 (Preferred)
- Unrestricted Australian working rights (Required)
