Role Overview
The Head of Marketing is a key member of the Aerometrex Leadership Team, responsible for driving growth, differentiation, and customer engagement for our geospatial SaaS platform. This role leads the global marketing strategy across product marketing, demand generation, communications, and brand to accelerate adoption among enterprise, government, and industry customers.
The Head of Marketing will define and communicate our market position as the leading provider of geospatial mapping and intelligence solutions—translating our complex data and technology into meaningful, value-driven stories for customers and partners.
We are considering this role to be based in either Adelaide where our Head Office is based or Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a holistic marketing strategy that delivers measurable growth across pipeline, revenue, and brand metrics.
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape company vision, positioning, and go-to-market priorities.
- Identify and size new markets, segments, and partnership opportunities within the geospatial ecosystem (e.g., infrastructure, logistics, utilities, smart cities, environment, and mining).
2. Product Marketing & Positioning
- Lead product marketing strategy to clearly articulate the value of our solutions for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Build compelling product narratives, use cases, and thought leadership content that elevate our expertise in mapping, analytics, and spatial decision-making.
- Ensure marketing and product teams are tightly aligned on roadmap, customer feedback, and market differentiation.
3. Growth & Demand Generation
- Oversee digital marketing, ABM, content, and events strategies to generate qualified leads and strengthen customer acquisition.
- Optimize funnel performance through data-driven campaigns, automation, and insights.
- Implement scalable programs for customer retention, upsell, and cross-sell.
4. Brand, Communications & Thought Leadership
- Establish a strong, credible brand voice for the company within the global geospatial and SaaS communities.
- Lead PR, analyst relations, and content strategy to build awareness and authority.
- Drive executive visibility and represent the company at key industry events and forums.
5. Data & Performance
- Build a marketing analytics framework that measures campaign effectiveness, ROI, and customer lifecycle performance.
- Leverage insights to continuously improve targeting, segmentation, and engagement.
6. Team Leadership & Culture
- Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing marketing team across multiple disciplines.
- Foster a culture of creativity, curiosity, and commercial accountability.
- Champion cross-functional collaboration with Product, Sales, and Customer Success.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years’ marketing experience, with 3+ in senior leadership, ideally within B2B SaaS, GIS, data analytics, or related technology sectors.
- Proven success leading go-to-market strategy and brand growth for enterprise technology or platform products.
- Expertise in product marketing, demand generation, and account-based marketing.
- Strategic storyteller with the ability to translate complex technical capabilities into compelling customer value propositions.
- Experience building and leading high-performing teams in a scale-up or growth-stage environment.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and leadership skills.
