About the Role
The Service Locator will be responsible for the identification, location, and marking of underground services and utilities across various Wormall Civil projects. You’ll work closely with the Specialised Services Manager and Site Supervisors to ensure all locating activities are performed safely, accurately, and in compliance with company procedures and relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend Wormall Civil project sites to conduct service locating activities.
- Obtain, read, and interpret construction drawings and DBYD documentation.
- Locate underground assets using both physical and visual locating methods.
- Operate specialised locating equipment, including ground penetrating radar and electromagnetic field devices.
- Correctly mark and detail underground utilities according to guidelines and legislation.
- Complete all required documentation, including service reports and safety paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with site teams and management regarding underground utilities.
- Participate in planning or inspection meetings as required.
- Support the broader Wormall Civil team with other project-related activities as needed.
About You
- To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
- RIICCM202E – Identify, Locate and Protect Underground Services accreditation (or equivalent).
- Experience using locating equipment such as ground penetrating radar, electromagnetic field technology, and vacuum excavation systems.
- A current WA manual driver’s licence and White Card.
- The physical ability to carry out manual handling and field-based work.
- A strong work ethic, initiative, and attention to detail.
- A commitment to safety and teamwork.
