Commercial Coordinator (Assistant QS) – Contracts Team

We are seeking a proactive and organised commercial professional to join our Southern Contracts Team. In this role, you’ll take responsibility for all commercial aspects of our contracts while supporting colleagues to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the commercial success of all contracts within your team.
Understand and communicate the commercial terms contained in customer orders and company estimates.
Manage all invoices, purchase orders, and monthly work valuations.
Proactively handle commercial disputes or queries to ensure prompt resolution and final account close-out.
Support the Commercial Manager as required and attend customer meetings when necessary.
Attend and contribute to internal monthly operational meetings and follow through on agreed actions.
Keep up to date with commercial law changes shared by the Commercial Manager.
Participate in weekly debtor meetings and deliver any required follow-up actions.
Assist with procurement of goods and services for contract delivery.
Maintain accurate commercial data within company systems.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a commercial/QS role in construction (essential)
HNC/D or equivalent in a relevant discipline (desirable)
Qualification in Quantity Surveying (desirable)
Experience with AutoCAD (desirable)
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Familiarity with company office management systems
Highly methodical, organised, and team-oriented
