About The Role

Area Sales Manager – Food and Industrial Channel, servicing Lower North Island, Upper South Island

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the food and industrial channel sales team servicing the Lower North Island, Upper South Island territory and would suit someone living in the Central North Island. We are looking for a driven and experienced field area sales manager to increase sales and customers within the territory. This is a chance to really let your selling skills flourish as there is great potential to grow this business further.

Reporting directly to the Channel Manager – Food and Industrial, this role assumes responsibility for the maintenance of existing clients and achievement of new business growth for Lynn River's Food and Industrial channel. 85% of the role is business development, getting in front of new customers and 15% of maintaining current customers

The successful candidate will:

• Have a proven track record of meeting sales quotas.

• Enjoy collaboration and have a ‘solution based’ approach to sales

• Be a proven and well-prepared salesperson who excels at building new and long-lasting key client relationships

• Like any true sales hunter, enjoy the thrill of the chase and are confident in working your way through any obstacles or gatekeepers

• Have the ability to assist in planning and implementation of new marketing/branding initiatives

• Work closely with the Food and Industrial Channel Manager to continuously identify areas and strategies for growth

• Be willing and able to travel throughout the designated region as required. A minimum of 5 nights away per month can be expected.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Valid NZ work permit or residency

• A full NZ driver’s Licence

• At least 5 years experience in a field sales representative role

• Outstanding organizational and time management skills

• Effective written/verbal communication skills together with strong documentation abilities, utilising /CRM systems.

• Commercial acumen
