We are a small, collaborative development team split between Bendigo and the Gold Coast. We love data, solving problems for our customers, and helping shape the future of economic and urban planning. Our time is split building and maintaining REMPLAN’s core products, cross team collaboration on data update and quality initiatives, and supporting our internal tools. We follow agile practices to guide our planning, communication, and iteration on ways of working.

The Role

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to build on and maintain a mix of React and Angular applications running on a .NET backend. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both frontend and backend development, with experience in modern JavaScript frameworks (React and Angular), API development and integration, and .NET-based server-side technologies.

This role will require strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work with multiple codebases, and a proactive approach to maintaining and improving existing applications. You will collaborate with your peers in the development and data teams, ensuring smooth and scalable integrations while delivering high-quality, maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend Development (React & Angular)

• Maintain, enhance, and develop frontend applications using React and Angular.

• Build reusable, scalable UI components that integrate seamlessly with backend services.

• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design principles.

• Optimise frontend performance and accessibility.

Backend & API Development (.NET)

• Develop and maintain .NET-based APIs (ASP.NET Core, Web API, .NET 6/7/8/9).

• Build secure, scalable RESTful services to support frontend applications.

• Work with Entity Framework, LINQ, SQLite, and SQL Server for database interactions.

• Ensure API security using OAuth, JWT, and role-based authentication.

Integration & Support

• Debug and resolve issues across React, Angular, and .NET applications.

• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployment processes.

• Collaborate with frontend and backend teams to ensure seamless API interactions.

• Provide technical support and bug fixes for existing applications.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Implement and maintain testing frameworks using Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, or xUnit.

• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to maintain application stability.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices and maintainability.

Collaboration & Agile Development

• Work within an Agile/Scrum team, actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Collaborate with across teams and other developers to deliver user-friendly applications.

• Document technical specifications, system architectures, and deployment procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

Frontend Development (React & Angular)

✅ Strong proficiency in React (Hooks, Context API, Redux) and Angular (RxJS, NgRx, Services).

✅ Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, SASS/SCSS.

✅ Knowledge of UI frameworks like Material UI, Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, or PrimeNG.

✅ Experience handling state management and optimising frontend performance.

Backend Development (.NET)

✅ Strong knowledge of .NET Core, ASP.NET Web API, C#.

✅ Experience with Entity Framework (EF Core) and LINQ for data access.

✅ Familiarity with SQL Server, stored procedures, and database optimisation techniques.

✅ Understanding of microservices architecture, dependency injection, and middleware design.

API & Integration

✅ Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL.

✅ Knowledge of authentication and authorisation mechanisms (JWT, OAuth2, OpenID Connect).

✅ Experience integrating third-party APIs and services.

Testing & DevOps

✅ Hands-on experience with unit and integration testing frameworks (Jest, Jasmine, xUnit).

✅ Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (JetBrains TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).

✅ Experience with Docker and containerized deployments is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

⭐ Bachelor degree in Computer Science or other relevant field

⭐ Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG).

⭐ Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud).

⭐ Experience working with legacy .NET applications (MVC, WebForms, or .NET Framework 4.x).
