Traineeships & Students' Programs

Footsteps offers students and emerging practitioners the opportunity to join our Teams to gain valuable experience.

While the majority of individuals join Footsteps as part of a “Student Placement”, Footsteps also offers flexible Traineeships opportunities for future practice leaders.

Our training program is based on a peer support approach where you will be paired with a senior practitioner and a supervisor.

Opportunities are currently open within the following Teams:

• Positive Behaviour Support Team.
• Therapy Team.
• Support Coordination Team (including complex support coordination).

Please provide us with your CV and a letter of motivation clearly identifying your personal reasons to join the industry and Footsteps as well as the scope of practice you are interested in developing.

Note that, as those programs are highly subscribed, we only select emerging practitioners who are highly motivated and can articulate how they can make a difference in the life of the people we serve.
