Desktop Assessor Estimator – Insurance Building Repairs

Based in Kingscliff, Northern NSW, this is a fully desktop-based role, and we’re open to discussing opportunities with talented candidates from anywhere in Australia.

The Opportunity
This is a desk-based role ideally located in our Kingscliff office in Northern NSW. However, because no travel or fieldwork is required, we’re flexible and open to discussing remote work options for the right candidate anywhere in Australia. Reporting to the Insurance Repairs Manager, you’ll assess and estimate insurance repair projects, collaborating with our supportive team to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct desktop and virtual assessments to create accurate repair estimates.
- Review and refine scopes, reports, and specialist documentation.
- Apply knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, and WHS requirements.
- Work closely with our office and field teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Use digital tools and software to streamline estimating processes.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in desktop assessing and estimating, ideally in insurance repairs or construction.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency with digital estimating software and Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with excellent communication abilities.
- Experience with insurance repair processes (residential/commercial claims) is a bonus.
