It’s been a really big week for us here at Employment Hero and I wanted to take some time to share what has been happening with all our customers.
Last week, we announced that Employment Hero has secured $8 million as part of a Series B funding round. The funding round was co-led by SEEK and OneVentures with participation by AirTree and AMP.
This is really exciting. Employment Hero now works with over 3,000 businesses and 100,000 of their employees across Australia. We have worked tirelessly to help save thousands of hours by automating processes and providing best-in-class support to business owners, HR managers and payroll officers so they can focus on growing their businesses and their people.
I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to all our staff and our customers who helped us get this far.
But I can also hear you asking, what now?
Firstly, we have some amazing talent joining our leadership team.
Alex Hattingh joins Employment Hero as our first ever Chief People Officer. Alex joins us from Ivy College, a long-time customer of Employment Hero. Alex has an awesome background working with Yahoo! and Google. She is going to help us attract and retain the best talent we can, build our user community and develop best practice guidance for our customers to use in their businesses.
We have also appointed Cat Prestipino as our Chief Marketing Officer. Cat has been working with programmatic advertising startups and brings with her a huge wealth of knowledge of how to scale marketing teams and small businesses into the future.
We will be releasing new products and features, primarily targeted at helping small and medium-sized businesses attract and retain the best talent.
We will be looking at our employee experience within the platform and particularly the mobile app. We want to help make it easier to onboard new employees, especially if their previous employer used Employment Hero.
We will continue to grow our partnerships. We have seen so much potential with ANZ, AMP and AON and we will bring on more partners, like Seek, who share our vision of helping small and medium-sized businesses be the best employers.
Finally, we have a treasure trove of new features that we’re working on and I’ll update you on those as we get a clearer idea of our launch plans.
Again, thank you all for your support to get Employment Hero this far.
It means so much to us that employers out there share our vision of an easier and more rewarding employment system. We will strive every day to make that possible way into the future.
